Here is an example of controlling an irrigation depending on rain and temperature within a given time period:
Prerequisites:
- It must not have rained in the last 24 hours.
- The outdoor temperature must have been at least 24°C.
- The release via the input "Lock active?" must be deactivated.
Procedure:
- As soon as prerequisites 1, 2 and 3 are fulfilled, the irrigation starts directly and performs a pass through the three areas one after the other.
- After the last area, the irrigation is stopped.
- Irrigation can be restarted manually via the "Manual start" input as long as the outdoor temperature is above 24°C or it has not rained.
- In addition, the cyclic transmitter automatically starts the irrigation every day at 4:15 am.
- If it starts raining during watering or the outdoor temperature drops below 24°C, the watering in progress is stopped immediately and manual or cyclical watering is suspended.
To limit the frequency of watering, a threshold element for the temperature could be used to prevent multiple triggering within a short time. Alternatively, the outputs could be deactivated for a certain time to prevent them from being switched on again promptly.
